CUSTOMISING SERVICES

    ENCLOSURES TO YOUR SPECIFICATIONS

We can modify our enclosures to fit your electronic assemblies exactly. We can also change their appearance and colour to emphasise your corporate identity.

Our sales team will help you specify the right enclosure, establish what modifications are required and agree favourable terms.

The result is a complete solution with all the modifications carried out, leaving your production team to concentrate on final assembly of the electronics.


    CNC MILLING

Our CNC milling machines produce highly accurate cutouts with an excellent surface finish. The minimum radii for CNC machined holes is 0.03". Typical examples of our machining:

  • Round and 'D' Type connector apertures
  • Windows for LCD modules
  • Push button apertures
  • Slots for membrane keypad ribbon cables
  • Removing pillars and ribs for clearance
  • Additional fixing holes


    •     PUNCHING

    A popular alternative to CNC milling is to punch in the cutouts. This option is ideal for simple shapes and is cost effective for large batches.

    There is a once-off tooling charge for the punching tool. The cost is dependant upon the complexity of the tool and the case range being used.

        TOOLING INSERTS

    For larger volume applications your design features (cutouts, recesses, characters, symbols, etc.) can be molded into the enclosure, removing the need for secondary milling operations.

    To produce these features we make special inserts for the tools, or for more complicated requirements, completely new tool cavities.

    There is a once-off tooling charge for this. The cost is dependant upon the complexity of the requirement and the case range being used.

        SILK SCREEN PRINTING

    We can print your company logo, graphics and control legends onto the exterior surfaces of our enclosures.

    Aluminum or plastic front panels can also be supplied with the necessary printing.

    Multiple colour printing jobs can be easily handled.

    All we need from you is a possitive mirror image of your artwork on film or electronically, plus the pantone references of the colors you would like us to use.



        LACQUERING

    For lower volume applications we can lacquer our cases to match your corporate colors.

    We use high quality acrylic enamels, 1-K and 2-K, which are specifically designed for plastics and suitable for silk screen printing inks. Bright, matt and textured finishes are available.

    The lacquered surface is tough and resistant to scratches.


        CUSTOM MOULDED COLORS

    For higher volume applications we can mould our cases in your corporate colors.

    Ideally a RAL standard color should be chosen, although we can also match to your color samples as well.


        MOULDING IN FLAME RETARDANT MATERIALS

    On demand we can also mould our enclosures in flame retardant materials to UL.94.V-0.

        SHIELDING

    Shielding with conductive lacquers is available on all of our plastic enclosures.
